aunaturalice song of the day

Bowling For Soup- 1985
Recorded January 16th, 2007 in our studio

I love this live track from Bowling For Soup. I always call these boys the hardest working in music, because I swear, they NEVER stop! In the last year, they have passed through Denver on at least 4 occassions. All memorable. The first was in January when we recorded this track. Jaret and Erik took over my show for an hour and they set the bar pretty high for any band following in their guest-djing footsteps. They were hilarious!

Then in March, they played an acoustic show at Fado Irish Pub. It was a free show and hundreds showed up to watch them onstage (even Jay Cutler was there). They were onstage for hours, horsing around and playing random songs shouted out from the audience. Then... a couple months ago they busted out another stellar acoustic set at Dave & Buster's.

Tomorrow night (August 10th), they are playing the Gothic and I had a call requesting the live version of 1985. This one always makes me laugh because near the end, Jaret and Erik stop playing because Erik messes up a lyric and they go into a long explanation of what happened. Then they begin the song again instantly, without missing a beat.

Hope the track brightened your day.

Thanks for reading!

Sam
