You may have heard me talk about it on the air, but I wanted to touch on it in the blog as well. I recently started taking classes at LA Boxing in Westminster.
One thing you should know about me: I do NOT normally dig excercise. My whole life I've tried to stick with some form of it, but nothing seems to really excite me.
Around a year ago, I discovered yoga was something I could enjoy and for the first time, I was actually regularly doing something to make me feel better physically. I LOVE yoga, but it made me want more. You know.. a bit of cardio to get the heart pumping a bit more. Something to change it up a bit once in a while.
I've never been much of a gym person, but when I heard about LA Boxing, I thought it sounded like something different and I was right!!! The first class I took literally KICKED MY BUTT. I went home a bit shaky and exhausted, but I felt amazing. Like I'd really done something. So, back I've gone... the instructors at LA Boxing in Westminster are fantastic. Luke and Cody are helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I'm still such a beginner, but it's almost like having a private lesson because the guys go around and watch and instruct the whole time the class is going on, paying individual attention to each student. If you work hard, you can actually burn 1,000 calories in one hour!! Those are words I love to hear.
So, basically... I've found something new to kick myself into shape and it's the perfect balance to my yoga workouts. I want to thank everyone at LA Boxing (Jil and her girl included) for helping me find a place I feel comfortable.
